The rugged mountains of Western Canada and their extensive forests
have long been the inspiration for my work. I do my best to capture
the essence of my natural surroundings; recently focusing on the order
of form, light and rhythm I discover there.
Born
in Calgary, I now live in Canmore, Alberta. A very long time ago I
earned a BFA from the University of Alberta. I've been fortunate enough
to participate in various artist-in-residence programs including Num-ti-jah
Lodge in Banff National Park and the Brewster Tours and Transportation
Columbia Icefields artist program. While living in Calgary
I was a member of the
Burns Visual Art Society; I am now a
member of the Canmore Artists and Artisans Guild. My studio is a part of the Corridor Collective where I share a space with 4 other artists.
